The sign of Gemini – Tarot – The Lovers …
Children of the Voice Divine, Oracles of the Mighty Gods…
Gemini is the twin sign that is intertwined with the Lovers Tarot archetype.
The Lovers tarot card depicts a young gorgeous man and woman; intertwined and naked. They appear as Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden; the Tree of Life is evident behind Adam and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil appears behind Eve, a Serpent lurks, menacingly.
If the Lovers in a Tarot spread indicates a relationship for you, if you are very lucky then it could develop in to a very powerful twin soul bond, The Lovers in the right setting can indicate the arrival of a soulmate.
Love & the Tarot
It is every individual souls responsibility to become the best incarnation of themselves that they can be. When we truly love ourselves we radiate a frequency that inevitably attracts our true love, our soulmate. Even then we must understand that by continuing to radiate love eventually our entire universe will move beyond the challenges we face & humanity can move ahead to the next phase of our development. The Fools journey through the Major Arcana is a clear path that encourages us to objectively look honestly at our personality & strive to be become better in all aspects of our existence.
Gemini represents the twins Castor and Polydeuces. I have studied & worked with twins, I find them fascinating, they strive to be individuals but will always have an incredible bond. One set I knew had their own language & really did exist in their own little world. Another set I knew decided to move to opposite sides of the globe, I predicted that their connection would pull them back together & I think that is set to happen much sooner than they thought, unlike ‘normal’ siblings, twins tend to thrive when together. A person born under the sign of Gemini (May 22 – June 21) can sometimes exhibit behaviour as if they are twins, trapped in one body, sometimes Geminis can almost exhibit ‘schizophrenic’ behaviours. Geminis can be contradictory, people with dualities to their nature that can confuse all but their closest friends, families and lovers. They love versatility and change, but can be flighty and mutable to create interest in their lives. They don’t like rigidity & routine. Problem solving can be difficult for them and they are famous for changing their minds.
In the Zodiac Great Year, the Age of Gemini occurred from about 6450-4300 BCE. It was a time when writing and accounting systems were developed and humans were beginning to trade with one another.
Geminis are generally kind, affectionate and generous, so long as this doesn’t impact their own lives and comfort systems too much. They have a thirst for knowledge and love all forms of challenge. They absorb new ideas or trends quickly. They have an analytical side and can see both points of view in any discussion.
If you’re a Gemini, you have some interesting company in your zodiac sign. Some famous Geminis include President John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe. Henry Kissinger and Paul McCartney. Many members of royal families were born under the sign of Gemini, too. Queen Victoria, King George V and Prince William were or are Geminis.
Boredom is a deal breaker for Geminis and they can easily lose their cool looking for excitement. Geminis can be artistic, creative and active. They should drive to have hobbies & channels for all this energy like artistic endeavours, exercise or competitive sports. Geminis are always looking for new and interesting experiences, they can tend to overindulge and are prone to having addictive personalities or ‘burning the candle at both ends’. Geminis need to remember to pace themselves or they are always in danger of burning themselves out.
Gemini are by definition “Mercurial” and exhibit rapid and unpredictable changes of mood. By definition Gemini embodies both sides of human nature, the light and the dark, the happy and the sad, this duality usually manifests in every aspect of the life of a true Gemini.
Gemini can change their moods and attitudes in an instant, & are confused when those around them find this challenging. One instant, they are sociable and happy; the next, petulant and withdrawn. They tend to be frustrated with people who are people pleasers, because they prefer open personalities. If you are a friend or lover of a Gemini you simply have to accept these mood swings, they are intrinsic to the true Gemini personality.
A Gemini is a multi tasker. They are at least as comfortable multi-tasking than most people are with focusing on a single project. In fact, Geminis quickly get bored handling mundane tasks.
With their gifts for communication and imagination, Gemini are natural storytellers. They have a keen sense of humour, they tend to lack patience & If they’re not careful, their tendencies towards mood swings and restlessness can alienate people.
The easiest way to upset a Gemini is to force them in to a routine. Like a caged wild animal, they will not handle the situation well at all. Gemini don’t like to be chained to the everyday world; they need to soar and dream, embracing new stimulating ideas wherever possible.
Gemini is an air sign. These are the idea signs, the air that breathes a spark into a flame. They can’t be limited. They require freedom of movement and thought.
If you build a relationship with a Gemini, though challenging, it can ultimately be very rewarding & intense. Just remember the duality of thought & deed, plus changefullness of moods and learn to enjoy the unpredictability.
