The Science of Numbers
Numerology is one of the oldest metaphysical sciences in the world — a system that assigns meaning to numbers and their relationship to human life. Found in ancient Egypt, Greece, China, and across the Hebrew Kabbalah, numerology rests on the principle that everything in the universe can be reduced to a number, and that each number carries a distinct vibration and energy that influences the people and events connected to it.

Your Life Path number is found by reducing your full date of birth to a single digit. Take each digit of your birth date, add them all together, then reduce the result until you reach a single number between 1 and 9. For example, someone born on 25th March 1966 would add 2+5+0+3+1+9+6+6 = 32, then 3+2 = 5 — giving a Life Path number of 5.
The exceptions are the Master Numbers 11, 22, and 33 — these are considered especially significant and are not reduced further. Our reading system recognises these and gives them their full weight in your reading.
Your Life Path number is the most significant number in your numerological chart. It describes the primary energies and themes you will encounter across your lifetime — your natural strengths, the challenges you are here to overcome, and the broader purpose your life is moving toward. It does not predict specific events, but it does reveal the underlying patterns and tendencies that shape how you experience and respond to your life.

Your Personal Year number is calculated from your birth date and the current year, revealing the overall theme and energy of the twelve months ahead. Each Personal Year cycle runs from birthday to birthday and follows a nine-year pattern — beginning with new starts in Year 1 and culminating in completion and release in Year 9.

Your Life Path number is fixed — it is derived from your date of birth and cannot change. However, numbers derived from your name (Expression number, Soul Urge number) will change if you change your name. This is why some numerologists advise on name changes — a new name carries a different numerical vibration and can shift the energies you encounter in daily life, even though the deeper Life Path remains constant.
