The Golden Fleece
Aries carries the myth of the ram with the golden fleece, sent by Zeus to rescue Phrixus from being sacrificed, carrying him safely across the sea to Colchis. Once there the ram was sacrificed in gratitude, its fleece hung in a sacred grove, and Zeus placed the ram itself among the stars. Even the myth moves fast: rescue, flight, arrival, done. That is what arrives on the 26th of September, at forty-nine minutes past four in the afternoon UTC: a Full Moon at three degrees of Aries, the Sun exactly opposite at three degrees Libra, three days after the autumn equinox. This is the Harvest Moon, but this year it behaves less like a reckoning and more like a starting pistol. Aries rules the instinct to move before you've fully thought it through; opposite it, Libra rules the pause to weigh things properly first. This Full Moon asks which one you've been favouring, and whether it's time to try the other.
