Cancer Horoscope, June 2026

Paul O'Mara · 1 June 2026

June is your year’s biggest month, Cancer. By the time it ends you will have had the Sun enter your sign, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and the Sun all stack up in your 1st house, your ruler the Moon take a full opposition from Capricorn on the 29th, and Mercury station retrograde in your sign on the same day. This is the heaviest concentration of personal-house transits any Cancer will get this year.

The First Half: The Build Before the Crowning

The first three weeks of June, the Sun is still in Gemini, your 12th house. The 12th house is the quiet underworld of the chart, the place where you process privately what you cannot quite say out loud. So you may have felt slightly invisible in the first half of June, slightly more reflective, slightly more inclined to retreat than usual.

This is not a problem to push past. The 12th house is preparation for the solar return. You are gathering the year’s actual question before stepping into your own sign on the 21st. Whatever is surfacing in dreams, in private thoughts, in the moments when you are alone, is the seed of the year ahead. Note it.

Mercury crosses into your 1st house around the 2nd of June and stays there all month, including its retrograde station at the end. Jupiter has already been in your sign since 2025, sitting at twenty-four degrees. Venus crosses out of Cancer mid-month on the 14th. Already, before the Sun arrives, your 1st house is crowded with helpful planets.

The 14th: Gemini New Moon at Twenty-Three Degrees

The new moon on Sunday the 14th falls at twenty-three degrees of Gemini, which is still in your 12th house. This is a quieter new moon than you usually get from a new moon in your own sign, but it is still useful. Plant something private. An intention you do not yet have to announce. A piece of inner work, a spiritual practice, a piece of writing only you will read.

The 12th house new moon is the seed that surfaces a year later. Whatever you whisper to yourself around the 14th will be doing real work by the time we are back in Gemini next June.

The 19th: Chiron Enters Your 11th House

Around the 19th, Chiron leaves Aries and enters Taurus, which moves it from your 10th house of career and reputation into your 11th house of friendship, community and where you fit in the wider group.

For the last eight years, Chiron has been quietly working on a wound in your 10th. How you are seen at work. What you are known for. The sense, sometimes, that the person you are professionally is not the whole of you, or that you have been performing a version of yourself for the people who hire you. From the 19th, that work goes quiet.

The new conversation, for the next eight years, will be in your 11th house. About friendship circles, about who is in and who is out, about the communities you choose. Cancers often carry a tender thing about belonging, about whether the group really sees them. Chiron in the 11th will work on exactly that. It is slow work but it lasts.

The 21st: The Sun Enters Your Sign

Around the 21st of June, the Sun crosses out of Gemini and into Cancer. This is the solstice. The longest day in the northern hemisphere. The pivot of the astrological year. And, for you specifically, the start of your solar return season, the month when the Sun returns to where it was the day you were born.

By the end of the month your 1st house contains the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter (until the 30th), and the recent Venus transit’s echoes. This is a lot of personal-house weight. It is the most visible month of the year for you. The most attended-to. The most likely to bring opportunities directly to your door rather than asking you to chase them.

Jupiter at twenty-six degrees of your 1st house, with only days left before it changes signs, is the last week of an eighteen-month transit that has been working for you whether you knew it or not. Do not waste the last days. If there is one decision you have been postponing that touches your own person directly, the days between the 21st and the 29th are the window.

The 29th: Full Moon in Capricorn at Eight Degrees, Mercury Stations Retrograde

The month closes with the Capricorn full moon at eight degrees, which is in your 7th house of relationships and partnerships. The Sun in Cancer in your 1st opposes it. The lights of the full moon show you the gap between who you are and who you are in relation to another person, between what you want and what your partnership wants from you.

This is one of the year’s truer full moons for Cancer. The opposition is the natural shape of the 1st and 7th houses, self and other. The full moon makes that polarity visible. A truth about a partnership becomes hard to ignore.

On the same day Mercury, sitting at twenty-six degrees of your 1st house, stations retrograde. So the truth that the full moon shows you in the relationship is met by your own thinking slowing down and turning inward for the next three weeks. Do not act on the full moon immediately. Reread, re-feel, re-think the relationship question through the first three weeks of July before deciding what to do about it.

The Move June Is Asking

Notice what the first three weeks of quiet have surfaced. Plant a private intention on the 14th. From the 21st onwards, use your solar-return season visibly. Do not let the 29th full moon push you into a relationship decision you have not slept on. Mercury Rx will give you all of July to rethink it.
