The Last Seed of Winter
Pisces sits at the seam of the zodiac, the last sign before the wheel turns back to Aries and the year begins again. Before anything can be born new, something has to dissolve completely, and Pisces is where that dissolving happens, no shape left to hold onto, nothing but current and depth. That is what arrives on the 8th of March, at twenty-nine minutes past nine in the morning UTC: a New Moon at seventeen degrees of Pisces, Sun and Moon locked together in the same conjunction, invisible in the sky the way every New Moon is invisible, a dark seed planted before anyone can see what it becomes. This is the last New Moon of winter, twelve days before the Sun crosses into Aries, and traditionally the one where you let go of whatever didn't survive the season rather than force it into spring.
